Flyer used to promote the Collaborative Launch Event.September 9th St Peter Claver Mass CelebrationOn September 9, 2026 the Racial Justice and Reconciliation (RJAR) Ministry Collaborative was successfully launched at a Diocesan Event consisting of a Mass, Refreshments and Presentation Topics.  The Mass homilist was Monsignor John Wall providing a very captivating homily regarding racial observances in the diocese. The presentations followed and were given by Deacon Josh, Kevin Green and the collaborative.

In his message Kevin provided a brief history of the RJAR ministry which started with Bishop Luis directing Lauren and Kevin to start their vision of Stations of the Cross:Overcoming Racism usage in all of the diocese at Holy Cross. After the second Lent of inviting diocesan communities to Holy Cross for this purpose Kevin and Lauren met with Bishop Luis again and this time the bishop concurred with moving forward with the new ministry!

The next step for the collaborative will be discussed at a meeting on September 24th. If interested in attending contact [email protected].
